I chose not to analyse non-adult parodies because this has been extensively done. I am fed up with reading the same things over and over again. Besides, I am still pondering on the dichotomy parody x pastiche myself when it comes to the endless repetition of themes, characters, plot, etc. And irony... Irony is like the cherry on any postmodern sundae. I am interested now on the meta-fictional aspect of pornography. Maybe we can chat about it some time? Especially the notion that the adult industry is functioning as a microcosm of the mainstream Industry, that porn Parodies are no different than, say, the endless remakes and reimagining of various classics, franchises, and failures of the past. Another interesting thing to consider would be that many parodies are made purely for monetary reasons. A director or producer understands that if they make a parody of say, "Dark Shadows," that many fans of the show Dark Shadows will purchase the parody with no intention of watching it to get off, but rather to add to their collection, or as something to put on at a party to laugh at as a piece of irony.
