Your work left me breathless and wanting more. The photos from the album called “The scent of Secrets Everywhere” is very genuine, true and shows that women not only have the natural desire to want affection but, have their own perceptions of what is sensual and pleasureful to them. My favorite has to be “The Dark Side of Taste.” This women has natural beauty and the light brings out her complexion. Not to mention I love black and white photos. You should do more photos like this!

I hate to see that i wrote “Didn’t Work”. After seeing your reply, I realize it is a poor choice of words on my part. I apologize for being so simple or dismissive for those Photographs. I really am sorry. I Love your work and I just type without taking some time for reflection.
My critique of the first Photo actually is probably what you were trying to achieve–the Stylized exaggeration of the model in heavy makeup and rigid pose–It has a hyper realism effect.The Thumbsucker had the same traits. The exaggerated pose was just not for me. But take anything i say with a grain of salt. And again I hope you didn’t take offense at my clumsy comment.

I really like the theme behind this series.

My favorite shots were the rose being bitten, the water bottle one, and the butt shot right below the previous one I mentioned.

lara: thanks for your commentary on what you felt “didn’t work.” I’ll think about your reading of the disparate continuity of the pictures. I’m consciously thinking about the idea of ingesting: “(to) take (food, drink, or another substance) into the body by swallowing or absorbing it.” (Dictionary definition)

I’m also considering in the choice of pictures, perhaps, a wider spectrum of visual examples that include the banal and the heightened representations of such gestures. I was under the influence of a more French approach to the juxtaposition of images that taken together evoke a more abstract sensation of ingesting.
